Welcome

This is the first, tentative step into blogdom.  I love to nose into other people's lives by reading their blogs, so much so it's made me want to start one of my own.  I live an ordinary life in the north east of England with the Husband, two children and geriatric Dalmatian.  I work full time as a manager in children's services (I qualified as a social worker more years ago than I like to admit to) and wish I was even half as talented  as some of the people I read about. I love books, cupcakes, shopping (think handbags),cooking, glossy magazines,travelling and spending time in our little house in Spain, all of which I never have enough time for.  So bear with me as I grapple with the technology and please accept  this invitation to .... well, let's just see.
