We need to completely remodel our kitchen and, so, before Christmas, we visited a couple of showrooms to get some ideas (and I bought every home magazine that featured a kitchen). I want to go uber sleek and am drawn to black lacquer units, maybe with granite worktops. Now I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea (for some people probably kitchen hell) and it may not even be practical (shiny black lacquer covered in fingerprints might not look so appealing) but I've tried more traditional styles and we've currently got pale green painted oak so I think its time to do something a bit different. I want to be a little bit rock and roll, not country. Actually, anyone who knows me will tell you that it's only in recent times that I've stopped dressing from head to toe in black every day so I'm sure some friends will not be at all surprised to hear my plans. Here are a couple of examples though neither is exactly what's in my head. I don't think I could live with the tiles in the first picture.
And I would never ever choose red.
So now Christmas is over we pick up where we left off and continue the search.
