I  love the chocolate from here so what better excuse than Easter to have a few treats.  I shopped online and we now have a selection of eggs (one for each of us) in readiness for Sunday and the green light to start munching.  My favourite is this one and I can't wait to eat see the little goodies inside.

A visit from the gremlins

                                           

It's been a while since I last posted.  This has been due to a number of things, some planned, like working in London for few days, some not so planned.  To add to all of this, the computer got sick, probably terminally. (I'm using the Boy's PC until it's fixed or replaced).  We'd even begun to think we had gremlins in the house as other electrical stuff started acting up.  Please God the GHDs (hair straighteners) don't join in.  The thought of having to go curly again makes me feel ever so slightly queasy.  Hopefully normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

A little bit of Stardust

We watched this film over the weekend.  Probably not for everyone (it's a PG)but if you like a bit of harmless fantasy (witches, spells,ghosts) with some laughs along the way and a host of familiar faces, then this is one for you.  So just pop in the DVD and then settle back with a tub of Ben and Jerry's and a spoon.

About mothers

As it's Mother's Day (in the UK at least) here's a selection of the more humorous comments which have been made about mothers and which might make you smile:

Cupcakes for a new mummy

I made these cupcakes for one of my (much younger!) friends who has just had her first baby (of the blue variety, clearly).  However, the new mummy wasn't feeling up to having visitors the evening I was going to see her with another friend so, guess what?  I ate them!  Well, I polished off two of them. (I do have some restraint!).   I also made some for the Gorgeous Girlie to take into her office - and now have two requests for birthday cupcakes.
