Spurred on by the successful completion of four of these, I've cast on again but to knit something a bit bigger and certainly more complicated.
In various shades of purple, the yarn is self striping and came in one ball. Yes, one ball of yarn equals one jackety thing. I'll leave you to imagine the size of it. (The kitties thought Christmas had come round again when the giant fluffy ball appeared). It isn't of the highest quality or the most expensive yarn on the market which is a good thing as, apart from the berets, I have a very poor knitting record. An earlier attempt at a jacket ended up in the bin, shortly followed by a mutant teddy bear which led to this outpouring. And this is still on the needles somewhere. (Note to self: for Heaven's sake, do some housework. Who knows what you might unearth?).
As if that wasn't enough to be getting on with, I've also started knitting little squares. (There are piles of them, I'm like a woman possessed). This is all because I've been seduced by photographs of sumptuous blankets, crocheted and knitted, on blogs I've stumbled across as I wander the web. (And I now have visions of a wintry me, reclining on the sofa enveloped in pastel loveliness!).
I haven't worked out how many squares I need. Hmm. Maybe I should.
