It seems there are continuing issues with Typepad, particularly with blog comments, so many apologies if you've read more than usually unintelligible posts, been unable to leave a comment or received multiple replies from me recently .

It's now a week since responsibility for exercising Boo was thrust on me. Poor dog, he's putting up with the changes (I know only too well who his favourite human is and it ain't me) and the strange routes we take. I'm very wary (scared, to be honest) of unknown (well, to me) large, unleashed dogs and try to avoid encounters with such at all costs, so we can end up in some odd places.
Boo hasn't a smidgeon of aggression in him and is content to just play ball (his catching skills are legendary in the park) and sniff around. He's also clearly very attractive to the local lady dogs, some of which are prepared to break free and run some distance just to say hello and lovingly nip his neck. Their owners are, understandably, more interested in the whereabouts of the mister, so I give them the story of the broken ankle. Which I may or may not have embellished and that one boisterous hound may or may not have turned into a marauding pack and lives may or may not have been saved......
It was damp and misty this morning (you should see the state of my previously carefully straightened hair, very Crystal Tipps), there were only a few dog walkers out and the only incident was when Bonnie the poodle ran off with Boo's ball. It didn't matter. He found a better one.
